Argo

This biopic follows extractor, Tony Mendez, who has been tasked to rescue six American refugees trapped in Iran. Mendez decides to pose as a producer and train the refugees to act as his crew to make it out of the country safely. 

How to Train Your Dragon

The first installment of How to Train Your Dragon follows Hiccup, the son of Stoick the Vast, who learns how to train the most dangerous dragon, Toothless. Hiccup tries to convince his friends and other Vikings that dragons are not scary but may be trained. 

Shrek Forever After The Final Chapter 

Shrek finds himself dreaming about his earlier life as an Ogre. He makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin and finds himself in an alternate timeline where ogres are being hunted, Fiona never met him, and Rumpelstiltskin rules.  

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows 

Robert Downey Jr returns in the second installment as Sherlock Holmes, and Jude Law returns as Dr. Watson. Holmes and Watson try to find Moriarty and stop his evil plan from succeeding. 

The Blind Side 

The movie follows Michael Oher, a homeless boy who became an All-American football player after Leigh Anne Tuohy and her husband took him in. Sandra Bullock stars as Leigh Anne and went on to win an Academy Award for her portrayal. 

The Bubble 

The Bubble is a comedy directed by Judd Apatow, starring Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Leslie Mann, and more. The plot follows the cast as they shoot a film for Netflix on a closed set in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

April 6th

Pálpito 

The show will follow Simon, a man seeking revenge for the murder of his wife. He eventually meets Camilla, who is alive because of his dead wife’s heart, but Simon doesn’t know that. As the story progresses, the two fall in love and go on to learn the truth. 

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On 

As the name of the show suggests, this reality show will put six couples to a rigorous test spanning eight weeks. At the end of it, the couples have to decide whether they still want to marry their partner. They will be put through various challenges, such as swapping partners for three weeks.

Dancing on Glass 

This Spanish drama, released in April, focuses on the pressure that starts to overwhelm the lead ballerina. She and another dancer get lost in their world, trying to free themselves from others’ expectations.

Almost Happy 

This Argentinian comedy follows the story of Sebastian Wainraich, a radio show host, who is working on creating a balance between his personal and professional life. He separates from his wife but finds himself still missing his family. 

April 14th

Ultraman

The second season of this Japanese anime will follow the Giant of Light as he defends Earth from aliens and monsters. As he completes his mission, humanity enjoys prosperity and peace, until they need him again. A new hero reveals himself, Shinjiro Hayata, Shin Hayata’s son, the man who was once Ultraman.

Anatomy of a Scandal

The show follows James Whitehouse, a Parliamentary Minister, who lives a happy life with his family. His wife, Sophie, finds her life unraveling around her when a shocking scandal about her husband comes to light. 

Choose or Die 

The movie stars Asa Butterfield, a student who obsessively plays a 1980s survival game to win $100,000. As terrifying things begin happening to him, he realizes that he is playing for his life. 

April 22nd

Along for the Ride 

Based on the novel of the same name, Along for the Ride follows Auden, who meets an insomniac Eli. The two begin to go on nightly adventures as she learns to live a carefree and exciting life.

Bubbles

In this Japanese anime film, bubbles rain down on the world as the laws of gravity are broken. Hibiki, a reckless Ace, finds himself falling into the sea, but is saved by a mysterious girl with powers, Uta. The two bond over their ability to hear a particular sound only they can hear. 

April 29th

Ozark

The second part of Ozark’s fourth season will release in April, following Money Heist’s split season. The show is one of Netflix’s most popular shows, and the final seasons will bring the story to its conclusion.
